MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 24, 2014 5:00 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Bob Bitso expressed concerns with the town employees using town equipment to transport tree cuttings to their personal property. Bob also stated that all tree cuttings should be made available to all Tolland taxpayers and suggested that all taxpayers be made aware publically. Eric stated that the cuttings belong to the land owner. Ed Deming stated that the intent was not to have individual’s cutting trees on the side of the road and to also ensure proper clean up of tree debris. The Board of Selectmen will come up with a system.
The Board of Selectmen reviewed the Department of Public Works Fiscal 2015 budget. The board is requesting Ed to submit a “plan of work”.
Finance Committee Chairman, Ted Locke presented the Board of Selectmen with the Finance Committees salary recommendation of a 1.5% increase. Ted suggested that the board develop some type of review process. The Board of Selectmen stated that the salary budget has not yet been discussed and the recommendation will be taken under advisement.
